Adding a Video to a Notebook

There are a few ways to add a video to a Notebook Page.
How you do this depends on the type of video you are adding.

To Add Flash Video (FLV)
1. Select Insert at the top of the screen
2. Select Flash Video File.
3. Go to the folder where the video is saved.
4. Select and open the video.
5. The video will appear on the page.
6. It can be resized by selecting and dragging the circle on the bottom right corner of the video.

Adding other types of Video
  1. To add a video that is not a flash file you will need to create a link to the video.
  2. It is always best to link to a file that is an attachment to the notebook. This way if you save the Notebook and play it on another computer the video file will be saved with it and therefore available to play.
  3. To attach the video Click the attachment button on the left of the page. (It’s the paperclip)
  4. Then select insert at the bottom of the page and select insert copy of file.
  5. Find the video and click open. The name of the video should appear in attachments.
  6. Next you have to add something to the Notebook Page to link the video to. It can be a picture or text.
  7. You can just type in the words SEE VIDEO or something like that or you can add a gallery item that is related to the video.
  8. After you do that select the added item and select the down arrow on its top right.
  9. Select link from the menu.
  10. Select current attachments.
  11. Your attachments should appear.
  12. Select the video.
  13. Then decide whether you’d like the video to run by clicking the object/text or if you’d like a icon on the corner of the object to indicate it’s a link– and click either corner icon or object next to launch by clicking.
  14. Click OK and it should be linked.
